Brave Heart 5K to kick off the Highlanders Festival on Radford University campus. Kilts are welcome… and encouraged! This event benefits The American Heart Association.
Entry Fees: 5K - $20 if received by 9/25/2019, $25 after 9/25/2019 and on race day. All 5K participants will receive a t-shirt. Pre-register by 9/25/2019 and receive your shirt on race day. T-shirts will be mailed to participants who register after this date.

Packet Pick-up and Race Day Registration: Begins at 10:00 AM on race day at Radford University, Radford, VA. Race day registration for 5K will close promptly at 10:45 AM. 5K route on Radford University campus TBA - registered participants will be notified of course by 9/1/19. The course will also be posted on this website by 9/1/19.
Awards:
5K Run/Walk - Top three male and female finishers will receive an award. Age groups: awards two deep, male and female, in the following categories: 12 & under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-14, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & over.
1-Mile Fun Run - Each Fun Run participant will receive a medal.
Best dressed male and female finisher (Highlander garb) will receive a prize.
Course:
The 5K and Fun Run course will be held on Radford University campus. All registered participants will be notified via e-mail of 5K location and route. Water will be available during the race.
Post-race: Free food and beverages will be provided for runners at race headquarters. Awards ceremony and drawings for door prizes will follow as soon as possible after the race. Results will be posted at the Blacksburg Striders website and also on runaboutsports.com.
For safety reasons, no animals or headphones are permitted on the courses during the race.
Restrooms are available at race headquarters. No showers.
